  CHIEFS MESSAGE

TO THOSE WE SERVE

Western Pennsylvania has a rich history of volunteer firefighting which is exemplified by the dedicated membership of Wexford Volunteer Fire Company, some of whom are lineal decedents of those who founded our Fire Company in 1921.  The roster of our current and past members reads like a directory of streets, businesses and family farms throughout the Wexford community.   As our community profile has evolved from agricultural to residential/mercantile, the emergency response capabilities of Wexford VFC have evolved as well and we are trained and equipped to meet the contemporary needs of our community.

Our current membership is comprised of residents of the Township of Pine who regularly staff the station as well as respond from home, as well as members who will travel across several municipalities to train and run calls at WVFC.  I believe the quality of our training, equipment, facilities and safety help recruit and retain some of the most passionate emergency services volunteers.

I am proud to have been a member of the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company since 2020 after serving previously in the Presto Volunteer Fire Department and Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company.  I invite any residents to stop by our main station at 228 North Chapel Drive (near Aldi's) to see firsthand our response capabilities and meet some of the volunteers dedicated to keeping you safe, day and night.

Thomas Hudak

Chief - Wexford Volunteer Fire Company
