RESCUE 2

 



228 Rescue 2 is a 1994 International and Marion walk-in body rescue truck. This piece is housed at our Main Station 1 and equipped with several different kinds of speciality rescue tools to handle incidents such as vehicle accidents to rope rescue calls. It also provides on-scene lighting and communications and carries spare air cylinders for structural firefighting incidents. Some of the other features of this unit are listed below:
  • A 2 man cab with a walk-in body which has the capacity to carry 8 additional personell
  • 4 MSA 4500 self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
  • 1 Amkus hydraulic spreader, O-cutter, and 2 rams
  • High and low pressure air bags
  • A 9000 watt telescopic light tower
  • 1 MSA 4 gas dectection meter
  • Rope rescue equipment which includes lifelines, pulleys, carabineers and webbing
  • A 6 ton bumper mounted electric winch
  • A tri-pod system for confined space rescue
  • An on board lap-top computer with wireless capabilities
  • Miscellaneous hand tools
