In 2002, we decided to finish off the station in order to make accomodations for a live-in program. By the spring of 2003 we had our first four live-in members at Station 2. We still maintain a live-in program at this station. Station 2 helps us protect the Babcock Boulevard corridor and some of the larger residential plans including Karrington Woods, Avonlea Estates, the Heights of North Park and Pine Ridge Manor. We are also able to provide mutual aid support to Adams, Hampton, McCandless, and Richland from Station 2.
Brush 1 was the first apparatus to run out of Station 2, and eventually our old Engine 4 was moved there when Engine 5 was purchased in 1999. Currently, our new Engine 4, Squad 6 and Brush 1 are kept at Station 2.
