additional fire safety information

Each year, the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company teams up with the Township Fire Marshal to provide fire prevention education to the various schools, preschools, and daycares in the area. Fire safety messages are delivered to about 1400 children in preschool through the 5th grade.

Station Visits

Residents and community groups are welcome to visit the fire stations. If a station is occupied, and it doesn't appear that the firefighters are getting ready to go on a call, feel free to stop in. If you have an organization, such as a Cub or Girl Scout group, station visits can be tailored to provide a fire safety presentation, an explanation of firefighting or both. Due to personnel scheduling, we ask that you schedule these types of visits a month in advance. Station visits can be arranged by sending an email to or leaving a message at (724) 935-1491.

Community Visits

We are also available to visit neighborhoods in the Township of Pine for events such as block parties. We can provide at least one truck and crew to do a fire safety presentations for kids, as well as fire truck tours. Due to scheduling and planning involved on our end, please contact us at least six to eight weeks in advance of your event. Community visits can also be scheduled through or (724)935-1491.

Fire Company Trading Cards

Each year we produce a set of fire company trading cards. The front of each card includes a picture of the firefighters or fire equipment and the back provides a vital fire safety tip. These cards are distributed to 1st through 5th graders each year, and at various other events and activites. If you would like a set of cards, we carry them on most of the trucks so make sure to visit us at events like community day or the Halloween Hayride. If you cannot make these events, the cards are also available at the Township of Pine Municipal building during regular business hours.
