I was born & raised in Wexford until I was 55. then moved to South Carolina, but my heart is still in Wexford. I retired from Mars National Bank after 29 plus years, and now I am working part-time at a tanning salon
I am married to Jim Then and we have a 3 yr old named 'Cruiser'. She is a 'Heinz 57' dog.
I joined the Wexford VFC in 1978. Every man in my family had been members starting with my grandfather, J B Cole, and I wanted to continue the tradition when the Wexford VFC started to accept women as active firefighters.
I was Secretary for 15-20 years, I served as President, V. President and sat on the Board of Directors, I also chaired the committee for the Banquet for several years, helped start the 'Santa Express' and 'Community Day' (which started out as Pine/Wexford Community Days), and worked on many committees.
I am now a life member, but living 600 miles away makes it impossible to be active. I loved spending time with and becoming friends with the great members of the Wexford VFC. I miss seeing everyone on a regular basis.
